Mapping the Genes of World Literature is an open-source project created at the Bodmer Lab (a research and digitization project from the University of Geneva). Its principal aim is to map the structure of the Martin Bodmer collection of books and manuscripts through the transcription and analysis of the collection's paper catalogue. This is an experimental Digital Humanities project using the open source framework Pybossa and taking inspiration from the British Library Lib Crowds platform. Special thanks are due to the British Library’s Alex Mendes for his extensive advice and support during the initial stages of the project, and also naturally to the creators of Pybossa.
For the time being the catalogue transcription interface is accessible only to the researchers and collaborators of the Bodmer Lab. However, should you wish to contribute, please click on the Request an invite link below and we’ll get back to you very quickly.
